The Effort KPI

The effort KPI was developed by our team at LUNA to better rank influencers based on reach and the budget requested. The CPM (cost per thousand) is a good place to start an analysis, but it doesn’t really consider the difficulties of making the campaign happen. While two influencers might have the exact same CPM, the best way to rank them would be to prioritize the one with the most reach. The Effort KPI does this, and also identifies when a small influencer is worth the investment.

Every campaign has logistics involved, such as getting the product or service to the influencer, as well as liaising the details of how to portray the brand in their feed. For this reason, sometimes it’s better to invest in an influencer with a slightly higher CPM if that means the campaign will reach more people and minimize the efforts made.
